My nick name growing up was "piggy Marie"..and for good reason. I am a mess! I blow through my life like a tornado and rarely take the time to ORGANIZE myself the way I should. It's not a in my nature to care about keeping things in order-- I'm more about shaking things up and taking action.
Well...I can't take it anymore! I must get…

Not sure if I mentioned it in a past blog, but I am a recovering alcoholic. I have been sober for over a year now, but before that I was sober for nearly 3 years until a huge loss set me back.....a childhood friend of mine was murdered. Gun down in broad daylight for no reason and her killer has still not been found. She was a great friend, the best mother. A single mother of four and she was just a few short months of getting her Bachelors in Child Care and was going to go for her Master's.…

To fucntion just as well as the rest of your body your brain needs the right nutrients and exercises (crossword puzzles, sudoku, reading, Meditation) So get out there and read a book that you have been putting off, do the training you need to do for whatever business or schooling you are doing, and strengthen the…

When people look at Yoga some look upon it as athat "alternative" way of working out. Nthing but meditating, chanting and singing weird songs, and that is parts of it. Not only is Yoga great mentally, but physically as well. If you just incorporate 3-5 basic poses into your daily routine or daily workout you will feel a difference. So try some basic poses, to stretch the body, mentally de-stress.

Hello BodyProud community, hope your weekend was safe, great and healthy! Setbacks, we all have them for one reason or another. Be it work, some personal reasons, sickness of a loved one or yourself, accident, even losing the passion. Like now, the past few weeks I have not been able to fully hit the gym like I wanted to. A few of my kids have been sick, and then my wife was sick so to give her a break while not feeling well I stayed home to watch the kids while she gets some rest.....NOW…

It's a gorgeous Saturday here in AR (that's ARKANSAS)...and I hit the trail on my property for a good KILLER run!
We have a trail that is probably about 600meters+ in length all down hill! Today I ran up the entire thing twice with running down the hill in between-- then afterwards ran r 4 "striders" each one getting progressivly faster and jogging between them. It was a great workout in preparation for the Kansas City…

This week my brain has been overdrive. I'm trying to figure out the direction I want to take in my business. What amazes me about where I'm at is that I have TOO many options. I don't think most people can say that! I've gone back and forth- should I dive in- hire help, attack all angles? OR should I scale back and focus my effort towards one…

The words that you speak over yourself are they uplifting, power packed, and encouraging?Or do you speak words of defeat and discouragement? The conversation you have with yourself determines your attitude and your success. Eavesdrop on the conversation that you are having with yourself that voice that you allow to speak over your life and if it is something negative, and destructive reject it immediately. …

So far I've lost at least 9 pounds(depending on the time of day). I'm proud of myself for that. I was 279 and I am between 5'6" and 7 so that is definitely a good thing. Right now I find myself reverting back to my old habit with out thinking but I know I'm doing it so that means I can stop it.
Haven't quite figured out why I sabotage myself but I hope I do so I can work through it. Right now though I'll focus on re-breaking old habits like watching to much tv, staying…

The fat that helps with cardiovascular health.
By adding avocado into your diet or your healthy eating habits, eating one or two avocados per week adds about 30-60 grams of healthy fat. Here are some…
