- I am originally a Journalist (Bachelor Degree in Arts), and for around 9 years , I have been teaching bilingual kiddos,
- My BodyPROUD Story
- I have always loved sports, especially baseball and track. I grew up in a family of 4 boys -one brother and 3 cousins-, so my uncle Antonio treated me like one of the guys.
I danced for 13 years, competed in aerobics choreography, and ran track at the marathon level for 7 years in my home land, Venezuela.
In 1991, I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (Sport Journalist) from the Universidad del Zulia (LUZ). I came to the United States in 1996 to advance my degree in Journalism to pursue a Master Degree. While planning my way through school, I found a passion for teaching when I started substituting for a district here. Following my heart, I changed my curriculum from Journalism to Elementary Education. I attended Saint Thomas University to pursue a greater cause, structuring our youth for a better future. I have been a teacher for 9 years.
Five years ago my lifestyle changed. When I was visiting my family in Maracaibo, I was initiated to a new challenge: bodybuilding.
Since 2004 I started to walk a path filled with sacrifices as well as satisfactions. I know what it takes to be a winner, but I love every minute of it.
In 2008 I have received the most wonderful compliments and comments from peers, judges , and audience after a great accomplishments at the Pro natural level My life it is not about sacrifices not more, .It is about accomplishments and having fun

- My AHA Life Defining Moments:
- What I love about competing is the fact that I enjoy every step of my preparation. I work on my posing everyday, I visualize my routines, I watch videos from other professionals bodybuilders, and I discuss new ideas with people that I know (for sure) are my friends at all times.
After three months of entire preparation, I won my first overall and competition ever in 2004. Fedder Marquez, my trainer and mentor, became my major tool for this new life style.
I can't deny the fact that God has built many path for me. I have counted with tons of hands to become who I am. Thanks to all of those that for good or bad have giving me the strenght to be a CHAMP.

- To Become BodyPROUD, I commit to do the Following:
- I want to improve and become a Pro in other major organizations in USA. In order to do that, I have to get muscular, but keeping my philosophy of natural competitor. I know it is difficult, but I love the challenge.
- Life Advice that Helped Me:
- Follow your heart, do what brings satisfactions and rewards to yourself. I am passionate about what I do, I can do it for free, doesn't matter.
- How I Boosted my Confidence and/or Added Joy and/or Health into my Life:
- My philosophy is training for winning. I know that when I am on the stage, my opponents are as good as I am. I never go anywhere just for having fun. I am a WINNER, and I can't compete for less.
My best lesson learned: Being natural and clean are my best card of presentation.
- Please Help ME with:
- My love for sport is on my blood. My father, Nicolas Colina, was a great athlete on my countryland, Venezuela. Later, following my instints, I became my only brother, Otto, cheerleader. He was a pitcher, so nobody better than me to celebrate his victories at the minor league.
Years later, I began my journey competing at school in voleyball and track. While studying journalism at college, I run marathon. Seven years last my adventure ufor running until I moved to America. I began lifting weight as an average person, but my conditioning and look attracted other people, whom starting motivating me to compete as a bodybuilder. Since then my passion has growth, and now I can say I am considered one of the most qualify lightweights at the national level.
- My Dietary &/or Training Routine:
- I have learned that networking is a very important step on my career. I know what it takes to be a winner, so I need to learn how to attract helpers to my cause.
