My Plug:
I am a shipping supervisor at a box company
My BodyPROUD Story
I am 38 yrs. old, married and have 2 beautiful kids. I was always what some call a Strongback ( someone who does physical labor ) until I became a truckdriver. My wife became pregnant with our first child and I gained more weight than she did. I was a stout 185 lbs. and balloned up to 230 lbs. After our daughter was born my wife got back into shape and wanted me to enter one of those 12 week transformation challenges,so I did.
After 3 weeks I could see and feel my body changing and it felt great. I sent in the pictures and got back a responce that I was in the winning group but they wanted me to workout for 12 more weeks. I sent back the same pictures with a note saying,"Someone will ask me if I really made the transformation in 12 weeks and I can look at them in all honesty and answer YES."
My Facts 'n Stats:
6'0 tall
Brown hair
Blue eyes
195 lbs.

I dont' go for singles, I like reps
My bodyPROUD Goals:
I love the start of a journey because it always lets you know that you are going places.

Life Advice that Helped Me:
Don't Overtrain. Find your balance, everyone is different. What may work for some does not work for all.
How I Boosted my Confidence and/or Added Joy and/or Health into my Life:
Eat clean, get good rest and work your ass off while at the gym.
Please Help ME with:

My Dietary &/or Training Routine:
I work 6 P.M. to 6 A.M. so my times are mixed up but I have a good system.

12:30 P.M. Breakfast
1 cup Oatmeal, 4 whole eggs, 1 cup coffee

1:30 P.M. Workout

2:45 P.M. Post Workout
1 Protein Shake, 2 whole wheat toast, 1 Tbl. spoon grape jelly

4:45 Before Work
Whatever my wife prepares ( we eat very clean )

7:15 Snack
Small amount of fruit, 8 Almonds

9:15 1 plate of whatever my wife had prepared.

12:45 A.M. Cardio
Jump rope until I miss then do 10 sit-ups and go right back to the Jump rope. Do this for 25 min.

Training Routine:

Mon. Chest,Back,Biceps and Calves
Tues. Legs,Shoulders,Triceps and Abs

Wed. OFF

Thurs. Same as Mon.
Fri. Same as Tues.

Sat., Sun. OFF

Yes,you work each bodypart twice a week! But you only do 1 exercise per bodypart.
For the first 4 weeks do 5 sets of 15 reps with 60 sec. rest.
Next 4 weeks do 4 sets of 8-10 reps with 90 sec. rest.
Last 4 weeks do 3 sets of 4-6 reps with 120 sec.rest.

Choose 1 exercise per day. Ex: Mon. Chest - Flat bench then on Thurs. Chest - Decline or Incline whatever just change it up.
I used to try all of the workouts in the muscle books but only got sick and lost weight. Overtraining is real and can happen to you.

Hi Bruce,
I think any of us who have struggled with weight understand the joy when we look in the mirror...everyone looks for the magic pill but its the age old formula burn more than you eat..and eat clean. Its hard work but the payoff is worth it. Now that I have lived in my new body for a year, I am ready to go another step in the transformation and work on sculpting for symmetry....love bodybuilding and it keeps me motivated to stay in the gym.
