Profile Information

My Plug:
Part time Personal Trainer, Freelance wildlife safari guide, Researcher for corporate consultancy (only once in a blue moon).
My BodyPROUD Story
I always was into loads of sports and could play all day if given the chance, especially sports I love like squash, tennis, badminton or cricket or football, or contact ones like on the ground wrestling and swimming. But I never ate enough or spent time working on the strength aspects like building muscle. I was always reed thin and looked starved and as I grew older grew more tired and bored because of my lack of muscle strength. I would get exhausted very easily and it led to many injuries, each one setting me back by many bases, and the rehab of my first hamstring injury got me into the gym when I was 18. It was vanity that finally took over when I started to discover a social world full of girls and though I was never belittled, the desire for a greater world class self image began the quest to not only become a better athlete, but also a more knowledgeable one who could form an opinion and frame an idea to make others better as well. Though I don't play a competitive sport today, the desire as a competitor to better myself remains as great as always. I am fitter, happier and more informed today than I was a decade ago, and plan to keep that as a constant, and be a better student of lifes absolute abilities in the coming one.

Love

Sameer

I love working on fitness in my daily life, to look as amazing as possible and giving my body a chance to help me achieve more in every other aspect of life, whether its my aspirations, relaxation or even supporting the family I one day hope to have.
My bodyPROUD Goals:
Would like to know a correct and best way of losing that thin layer of abdominal body fat that masks the definition of the muscle underneath?
Are deltoid excercises better preffered to upright rows for developing the trapezius?
My AHA Life Defining Moments:
Fitness is a promise, which when adhered to stifles the weakness to not believe, and wrestles out the warrior of truth that lies within each of us that to do is possible. "Peace be the Journey" Cool Runnings
My Transformation Triumphs!
Getting a 37 year old 90+kg college professor with an obese generational background, tennis elbow, and poor muscle structure and tone to comfortably grab the toes of his feet in a full seated split in a month and ten days.
Being able to spend three straight hours with short gaps swinging and dipping on a gymnastics parallel bar.
Running 26 court sprints on a squash court in a minute.
Training myself to learn how to breathe during the crawl in swimming and subsequently learning all four swimming strokes, especially butterfly in two and a half months.
My bodyPROUD Intentions:
Increase My Confidence, Improve my Health, Gain More Flexibility, Increase My Strength, Become a Role Model to My Children & Family, Feel Better about Myself, Improve My Posture, Sculpt My Physique, Feel Good in a Bathing Suit, Gain Exposure, Become an Athlete, Compete in Physique Showcase Events, Get Discovered - TV, Magazines
To Become BodyPROUD, I commit to do the Following:
10 years.
Life Advice that Helped Me:
Have fun, but be disciplined, channel the ego to irrigate your potential and reap a fertile balance of healthy body, mind and spirit.
The body and its fitness is part of the greater goal to quality of happiness we all desire.
How I Boosted my Confidence and/or Added Joy and/or Health into my Life:
Eat right, Eat healthy, Eat often, Work hard, work fun, work balance, work regular. The process matters because only if you enjoy the journey, will the destination just be a resting point before the next one.
Please Help ME with:
How to sculpt my physique, Healthiest balance of diet possible to get the maximum nutritional quality, Gaining a strength base to allow better recovery and minimum fatigue over time, Technical pointers to remain injury free.
My Dietary &/or Training Routine:
In an indisciplined and slightly lazy mode at the moment, but still working 45 minutes to an hour of resisitance tube, Free weights and pull ups and abdominal isometrics daily.
Expressing Gratitude is a Key Ingredient to a Happy Life. I Am Grateful for:
My body genetics, structure, self discipline, egoless search for knowledge and variation.
My Hero / Role Model / Trainer / Sponsor / Coach / Guru... and Why
None as yet.
Profession:
Personal Trainer &/or Fitness Professional, Professional
