My Background // My 'Story"
I grew up severely asthmatic- the asthma was so bad I spent months in ICU each year, I could not play in gym and the inability to breathe caused damage to my lungs and eventually, my spine as my body tried to grow and develop around an expanded rib cage and lack of efficient oxygen. My expanded rib cage and resulting kyphosis limited my range of movement and caused constant pain but through weight training and cardio exercise I developed more efficient lungs, my asthma is gone and the bones in my spine have grown dense and strong and I no longer have kyphosis. Praise God!! I believe through hard work, commitment and dedication you can achieve anything. There's more potential in each of us then we are aware of!

www.Soteriafitness.com -my own web page.
I am also on utube and other sites for both education and fitness purposes.
My Philosophy on Nutrition, Physical Fitness &/or Focused Thinking:
"whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right"

I have learned more than this box has room for!!
My Dietary &/or Training Routine:
I train chest/ back; legs, then shoulders on three seperate days with at least 20 minutes cardio/day 6 days/week (I do each routine 2x/wk). I try to eat clean with lots of fruits, veggies, nuts and fish. Occassionally I'll have chicken but its not my fave. I am a confessed chocoholic and peanut butter with a hearty whole grain bread is my kryptonite. Sounds health-ish but I could eat that 3x a day! Yum! Of course I supplement w/ a whey protein shake w/ a splash of gaba and thats it! pretty simple, pretty routine.
I am Grateful For:
hemmm... where do I start? I am so thankful for Hashem and His son Yeshua through whom I have found life and purpose. I praise God for my family, my husband and kids, my home, my health, my friends and my four CRAZY sisters... I am so blessed.
My Advice to You to Help You Reach Your Body Proud Goals:
You only live once so if you want something, nows the time to go get it.
A Few Words about my Hero / Role Model / Trainer / Sponsor / Coach
me/ my husband/ my kids..... not to mention my friends and supporters at the gym, I love them all and couldn't do this without them. From them I draw motivation, strength. They are all so fabulous! Of course I must give thanks to yeshua to whom I owe it all.

ok... this possibly explains it better than i can.

I’ve had this question posed to me several times and I think some people still have a hard time making the distinction. Well here it is: The difference between a fitness model and bodybuilder is this. A bodybuilder trains most of the time with heavy weights to build and maintain a large amount of muscle throughout the year.

They do very little cardio and if they do it is more like a walking on a treadmill or a stair-master. They have very little mobility because of their size and the large amount of muscle they carry. They are usually in shape about 1 to 2 times a year and during the offseason they are generally about 25 or more pounds over their competition weight. Many bodybuilders especially the non-natural ones have physiques that don’t appeal to the mainstream and are not attainable. Now let’s talk about what a fitness model is.

A fitness model’s physique is a very lean and more athletic physique. Think of wide receiver or a track and field sprinter. Their bodies would mirror these types of sports related positions. A fitness model is generally always in shape because at a moment’s notice they can receive a call for a photo shoot, infomercial or a fitness cover.

They don’t have the luxury of being given a lot of time to get in shape. If you’re not in shape at all times you are not a true fitness model. The idea of “I will be in shape during the summer time contradicts what a fitness model is and you will eliminate many jobs because of that mentality”. A fitness model’s physique is generally judged by their abs and how defined and lean they are. Your abs as a fitness model is basically your invitation to the fitness industry. The training of a fitness model is more circuit training, explosive weight lifting and high intensity cardio that allows you to burn calories but at the same time minimizes burning muscle mass.

Ok... let begin by saying, thanks you the compliment!! I also appreciate the confidence... My training has always been focused on performance and not aestheics. I am considering fitness because I believe i can manage to obtain the look without sacrificing my performance.
