My BodyPROUD Story
Gym has always been a passion of mine, im a wrestler so i have to be in the best shape possible, i have started training about three years ago.
looking at making some good friends from this site,
My Facts 'n Stats:
Raj, 31, Fitness fanatic, I work for the Government and have done so for last 10 yrs. I come from Indian family, my mum and dad moved to England 1960's. I was born up in Midland/Nottingham but have lived in London for over 23yrs now.
My AHA Life Defining Moments:
Your body is an amazing thing, you got to listen to it. eat what makes you feel happy and good inside and out, always believe in yourself no matter what people say or think, no matter how many times people are going to laugh in your face about it.if you fail, just keep on trying!! YOU ARE YOUR GREATEST COMPETITION.Look after yourself and never stop learning!
Life Advice that Helped Me:
Nothing in life comes easy, you got to have patience, nothing is going to happen over night. always believe in yourself no matter what, no matter how hard it gets, you are going to get that speed bumps in your way, but at the end its pushing through that counts. dont get frustrated that you not seeing results, because that will cause you to lack in your training and it will put you in the wrong state of mind. push yourself, believe in yourself!
How I Boosted my Confidence and/or Added Joy and/or Health into my Life:
You are indeed what you eat!! Nutrition is very important to your body. I train by myself, some days i will train with a partner but i am self motivated, I Take all my negativity and my stress and push it into my workouts. I am focussed and I believe that with hard work and by positive thinking any thing is possible.
My Dietary &/or Training Routine:
I Train 3-4 days a week, having at least one day off to let my body rest, to get back all the needed energy.I Try to eat 4 meals a day. I prefer free weight training, which includes alot of drop sets and super sets. i do about 1-2 hours of cardio on a time and try to get some cardio My diet consists out of alot of proteins and clean carbs, i do drink coffee, green tea and also herbal teas, but PLENTY of water. I have my cheat day that i eat whatever my body craves, but that doesnt mean i overdo it. It is also very important to do your excercises in the correct firm, feel your body working, have that muscle to mind connection where you listen to what your body feels.
Expressing Gratitude is a Key Ingredient to a Happy Life. I Am Grateful for:
All the Blessing God has sent me, for blessing me everyday that i can get out of bed healthy, go to work and go train, alot of people can not do that. im gratefull for my family and friends who have pushed me to be a better person, to help me realise that giving up is not an option. For those who kept on pushing me to be the best i can be, to chase my dreams, pursue my goals no matter what.
My Hero / Role Model / Trainer / Sponsor / Coach / Guru... and Why
I have been following alot of body builders, male and female, alot of fitness models so it is difficuilt to name one, they are all unique and they all seem to work differently. i have learned that it really does take alot of dedication and discipline to transform your body into the one you want, its not just a 1 day thing, its your lifestyle. its like building a house, you lay brick for brick and in time you see before you this wonderfull, beautifull, complete built house and this just doesnt happen over night, does it? catch my drift?....
