- My BodyPROUD Story
- My husband works in the oil field so he is only home once every 6-8 weeks for 6 days. Its very hard sometimes with a baby but when I have my mind set on something there is no stopping me!
- My Facts 'n Stats:
- I have been a competitive athlete since I was a little girl. My obsession with sports and fitness brought me as far as taking sports broadcasting in college but when I was offered the opportunity to run a gym I couldnt turn it down. A few years later I have moved to a small town of 300 ppl. I have put a gym in my basement and have pushed myself to workout hard for my first competition in Philly this year!
- My bodyPROUD Goals:
- I was training for my first competition last year and two months out I found out I was pregnant. My son is now 9 months old and he has been my motivation. My goal was to do a competition before he was a year old. fame philly was the only one in that time frame so i decided even though its far from home...im going!!!
- My AHA Life Defining Moments:
- you can do anything you put your mind to!!! I had to have an emergency c section which resulted in a scar from hip to hip. I was not able to exercise for almost 5 months so I have had 4 months to train for this competition. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!
- My Transformation Triumphs!
- Booking my flight/hotel/registration for Fame Philly 2010 and realizing...this is it....youre doing it!!!!
- My bodyPROUD Intentions:
- Compete in Physique Showcase Events, Be an Inspiration to Others
- To Become BodyPROUD, I commit to do the Following:
- I wanted to compete in my first competition within a year that my son was born. I wasnt sure if I could do it after my surgery left me unable to exercise for a while but I pushed sooo hard for the last 4 months and im as ready as im going to be!!!
- Life Advice that Helped Me:
- you are the only person standing in your way of reaching your goals! believe in yourself!!!
- Expressing Gratitude is a Key Ingredient to a Happy Life. I Am Grateful for:
- my family and friends support. ive had quite a few long sleepless nights where not working out the next day wasnt an option. there is a handful of ppl i could call and they are here in a minute to help me out. those....are true friends.much love!
- My Hero / Role Model / Trainer / Sponsor / Coach / Guru... and Why
- before i moved to manitoba I trained with derrick brown in calgary. when i moved to manitoba i thought i would be alone but i wasnt. derrick has encouraged me from 1200 km away that i can do this!!!!
a great support system has gotten me where i am today!
