- My BodyPROUD Story
- I am a bartender at one of our local cobourg bars "Kelly's Homelike Inn." I enjoy laughing and being social with good people. I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, being active, walking my dog and getting lost in a good book. I believe that as long as I stay positive and focused, I will get to where I'm going.
- My Facts 'n Stats:
- My name is Nadine Carriere. I am 23 years old and have grown up in the small town of Cobourg. I have been fairly active all my life, however training for a fitness competion has brought my athletisism to a whole new level. After having competed in Ontario Championships, I am completly hooked on the rush and have already registered for World's.
- My bodyPROUD Goals:
- I just recently competed at the Fame Ontaio Championships, and placed 2nd in Novice Fitness Model, and 3rd in Novice Swimsuit Model.
- My AHA Life Defining Moments:
- I love the rush of walking out on stage and showcasing everything you've worked so hard for. Suddenly it all falls into place and makes every bit of the training, clean eating and dedication worth while. I love being a part of such a positive atmosphere and group of people that all have similar goals.
- To Become BodyPROUD, I commit to do the Following:
- My body proud goals are to stay positive, help others in any way I can and to stay focused on living a healthy "feel good, look good" life. My biggest goal is to become a pro fitness model...it starts here.
- Life Advice that Helped Me:
- Some days it feels like there is no end and you wonder why you're doing this, but when you stick it out...you have the days that you remember why you're doing it. Stay positive and focused because before you know it...you're there. oh yes...and of course eat chicken not chocolate...hehehe
- How I Boosted my Confidence and/or Added Joy and/or Health into my Life:
- I've learned that it is true what they say... "no pain, no gain." It's gonna hurt a little bit and when it does...push harder because we only get one life to live, and unfortunatley there are no dress rehearsals.

- Please Help ME with:
- I began training to simply get into better shape. I wanted to feel better, look better and have something to keep me positive throughout the cold winter months. To my surprise my body started to transform fairly quickly, which is always helpful when trying to stay motivated. I realized that the harder I trained the better I felt mentally and physically. I met Dave Avery who introduced me to FAME and the "body proud" outlook. Naturally I was hooked, because if feeling good isn't the most addictive high...I don't know what is.
- My Dietary &/or Training Routine:
- I joined body proud because I wanted just that. Everything is very clear when you know what you want. My life has become so much richer and organized in mind, body and spirit, since I have become body proud. Thank you Body Poud!
- Expressing Gratitude is a Key Ingredient to a Happy Life. I Am Grateful for:
- My most proud moment so far throughout this journey has been after competing at the Otario Championships realizing, that I've done it! Then realizing ... I can do it again...not only do I feel I can, I feel I need to.
