- Currently I am U.S. Army Ranger in support on the war on terrorism.
- My BodyPROUD Story
- After recieving my degree in 2004 I had desires to move to California or Miami and persue a bodybuilding dream. Although with the war on terrorism at full brink,I seriously calculated my choices. In the Fall of 2005 I decided to enlist and put a dream on hold for what I thougth was more important. Now its been 5 long years since I have competed but everything has worked out well. I'll make it easy - Make No Excuses and we all have choices, although sometimes it hard to choose that easy wrong over that hard right. Always give 100 percent and then some and love what you do and of course do what it is you love.
- My Facts 'n Stats:
- Hi there, I'm Michael a 32 year old, from Texas. Currently I live in Washington while I serve in the U.S. Military as a U. S. ARMY Ranger. I would like to say that I have enjoyed working out since the day I actually picked up a weight .Had the opportunity to play College Level sports and finally earned my B.S. in Criminal Justice in 2004 and now on the brink of persuing my masters!

- My AHA Life Defining Moments:
- Be good to your body, it will certainly show and there will be definitive feeling of goodness! I like to think life is about mind , body and soul. I FIND MYSELF in a higher or greater state of fitness physically when I am spiritually fit and vise versa. Remember, what got you here, will not get you there!!

- Improve my Health, Become a Role Model to My Children & Family, Keep Me Young, Compete in Physique Showcase Events, Get Discovered - TV, Magazines, Sponsorship, Become an Athlete
- To Become BodyPROUD, I commit to do the Following:
- Well, I currently have 2 years left on my military contract. I want to make the best of my time left however I do want a smooth transition from this lifestlye to the one I would prefer, "Body Proud" lifestyle.
Currently I desire to compete once again this year before a deployment and again upon return.
- How I Boosted my Confidence and/or Added Joy and/or Health into my Life:
- Eat clean and keep it simple. It keeps your body refreshed and youthful. THE SAME GOES FOR TRAINING. I try to keep it simple with high intensity a heavy load and minimal rest.
- My Dietary &/or Training Routine:
- Training - Although I think it is difficult to be or become a well rounded althlete, I try to perform what will provide for my bodybuilding goals but at the same time keep me agile, young and strong.
A 5 to 6 day split intregrated with a cross-train fast pace philosophy while intregrating various forms of cardio usually helps me reach my goals!
- Expressing Gratitude is a Key Ingredient to a Happy Life. I Am Grateful for:

I'm doing okay, and training is going fine. I'm hoping to compete in Las Vegas this year as my main goal.

- Thank you for your service. Although only 11 my second oldest son always talks about a military career. My dad, just turned 87, is a WWII vet. He is a tough bugger. Anyway, thanks again.
