My Background // My 'Story"

I’ve been interested in health since a very young age as it was instilled in me by my mother. Growing up, I was pretty active. I was involved in various sports, but dancing was my passion, and I did that from the age of 4 to 18. As a young teen I suffered from numerous food sensitivities. I quickly learned how important healthy eating was and how much better I felt if I was eating the right foods.

In Sept 2007, I lost my mom & best friend to colon cancer. It was a HUGE shock to our family as she lived such a healthy life. Through that experience I learned that balance is important, and so is managing stress.

Shortly after my mom passed, my husband and I were happy to announce I was pregnant. After having a baby, and feeling frumpy as most mom's do, entering a competition was that extra motivation to get back into shape. I had never thought about competing, but enlisted the help of a trainer, who was a figure competitor, and stepped on stage only 7 months after my daughter was born. I haven't turned back since! Now I'm in better shape than ever! I LOVED the experience of being on stage, its such a huge feeling of accomplishment! I'm addicted!!!

Ok ladies---we need some education!

So I was at the gym this morning---my usual 6am timeslot. I went to do bootcamp, but there were only a few of us, so we decided to do our own thing instead. I hopped on the elipical to get in a good 40 minutes. Normally, I'm zoned into my ipod, but the battery was dead! Beside me there would two ladies (one I could tell was a newer mom as she talked about going back to work) and the other was a friend of hers. WOW!!!!!!!!!! Couldn't be a better year!

I'm shocked and thrilled to be gracing the cover of the FAME West 2010 poster!!! I bet a lot of people wouldn't believe that in that picture, I had a 7 month old baby at home!! But as I've said---IT CAN BE DONE! I am proof! You can be body proud at any time in your life----and for you women, even shortly after having children!

Just want to thank everyone at FAME for this great honor!

So, I will be 'watching' you at your gym ---so that means, no slacking!!! LOL!

Officially a WNSO/FAME Pro Fitness Model!

So the response is in! I'm officially a WNSO Pro!!! Very excited!! Looking forward to the future, the worlds, and competing as a Pro! If I look back a year ago and see how far I've come, I would have never believed I'd be where I am today! So keep following your dreams people---things CAN happen!!!!

I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So its the morning after my BIG 1st place Win!!!! I'm so thrilled and happy. All the sacrafice has paid off!!!!!!!!! The last year has been such a whirlwind----having a baby, training for 3 shows, making improvements, dieting, missing Easter/Thanksgiving dinners----the list goes on!
