I've never been to Houston. FAME East was only the second show I've ever attended. I'd love to eventually travel to shows, and get some shots of the local sites as well, but for now I'm sticking with local shows.

We finally got some nice weather (rained a ton a few days ago), but it's still coolish. Lotsa great things happening in Montreal this summer, not the least of which is FAME World. I still can't believe it's coming to my hometown.
I definately don't compete. I lost a lot of weight the last few years, but I've only recently started working out; I can feel my abs, but I can't see them yet (damnit!). Besides, I'm much more comfortable behind the cameras, than in front of them.
I was pleased with some of the shots I got during FAME East, but I was very frustrated with the limitations of my camera. I'm going to be getting a Nikon D90 this week, along with some extra goodies, to hopefully get a lot more good shots during FAME World. I might get a small camcorder as well, and see if I can rig up a vertical mount for my monopod that would allow me to take pictures while video recording simultaneously.
