You are welcome, Jason. How did you get started in bodybuilding and what type of routine do you follow?

Jason, you have come a long way. You have gone from being thin to being a contender for the Mr. Olympia. Keep pumping that iron and good luck in your future contests.

Profile Information

My Plug:
I am self employed as a Personal trainer, Nutrition and lifestyle consultant. After serving 6 years with the sports clubs of Canada and ballys total fitness I decided to work for myself.
My BodyPROUD Story
I am interested in reading, cooking, yoga, strength training, cardio which includes running, outdoor cycling and swimming. I do all of the above on a daily basis as well as working, marketing and spending time with my 2 year old daughter.
My Facts 'n Stats:
My name is jason millar. I am 37 years old. Originally i am from Manchester England and moved to Toronto canada back in 2001. I have worked as a personal trainer for 15 years and competed in a couple of shows back in 1998 and 99. Currently i am self employed as a trainer in the downtown toronto area.

Have a great day and good luck to everybody participating on improving their physiques.
My bodyPROUD Goals:
My claim to fame was competing in my first competition against another competitor who was in his first show. We were both novists at the time. I did not compete much after that but the other competitor by the name of Andrew merrifield became the world 70kg champion and is famous now in the Anb world.
My AHA Life Defining Moments:
I competed in the Anb Yorkshire and northern championships at a national level. The thing I loved most about competing was the crowd cheering you on and looking at your hard worked physique in awe. What motivated me most was the great trophy and the comments that came after the competition.
My Transformation Triumphs!
recieving that first trophy after my first competition as well as being a father.
My bodyPROUD Intentions:
I do not have any services targeted to the body proud industry but am willing to help you if you need it in any way I can.
To Become BodyPROUD, I commit to do the Following:
I am looking at competing again hopefully as a muscle model. I need some form of motivation and drive to succeed my goals. If i knew there was a reward at the end of the goal I would have no problems achieving my goals. I work on that kind of drive if I know there is a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. My goals in the future would be to become a muscle model and open my own health club to work on others to achieve their goals.
Life Advice that Helped Me:
My advice to others starting off is to seek professional help. A nutritionist is just as important as a trainer if not more important. Getting the body you want is all about lifestyle starting with the fuel we put into our bodys. It is important that we eat natural small meals often throughout the day. Make sure you drink enough water about 8floz per meal. The foods we eat should consist of good proteins mainly white meats and fish with good carbohydrates. Fibre, vegetables and fruits should also be a part of our daily diets.

Our training routines should have a balance or strength training, core strength, stabiliser work, cardio and flexibility.
How I Boosted my Confidence and/or Added Joy and/or Health into my Life:
Eat well, Train hard and safe and keep your mind active. Be positive and wipe negetive thoughts to the back of your mind.
Please Help ME with:
I was a skinny kid for my age when i was younger. By the time i was 16 i was 5 ft 3 and weighed a skinny 70 lbs. A year later i could not stand being teased for being small so I started lifting weights. I still got mocked for the first 6 months until a remarkable change happened. I grew about 7 inches in height between the ages of 17 and 18 and went up to about 155lbs of hard earned muscle. Friends saw the change in me and commented on my appearance. There were the negetive friends that would acuse me of taking steroids. I felt good knowing i never ever took drugs and if they thought that then i must look really well. Within years i kept growing stronger and stronger. I am a qualified chef by trade but ended up changing careers at age 24 to become i personal trainer. Moving to canada was the best move i made back in 2001. Currently i am 5ft 10 inches and weigh 205 with about 8% body fat. I would like to stay the same weight with less bodyfat.
My Dietary &/or Training Routine:
I want to help others and am also willing for others to help me. There is still alot I need to learn and I am open minded to all ideas.
Expressing Gratitude is a Key Ingredient to a Happy Life. I Am Grateful for:
My proudest moment would have to be when my Daughter Gia was born 2 months ago. Anybody that is a parent will share the same thoughts.
