- My BodyPROUD Story
- My story is boring, quite frankly I really don’t want to tell it. Put it this way, I played a lot of sports starting out as a body builder in my teens, playing: soccer, American Football and basketball. But body building gave me the best buzz, the reason for this, I had a great gym. When the gym closed, my life changed and I could never find the same atmosphere anywhere else in England not even abroad, strange, so I stopped doing it.
In my view, Slim Gyms in Greenwich,London England was the best gym in the world. I also had a great mentor at school an ex Queens Park Rangers soccer player, Bobby Nash. He taught me that sports is a very valuable tool, yes tool and you can accomplish a lot if you stuck with it, well I did. Sports has taught me perseverance and persistence. I may not have a lot of medals but outside sports my mentality is little more defined for obvious reasons. Be persistent, persevere and one day you will get there. I have accomplished a lot in my professional career in construction from a very young age. I think it is time to persevere on my own in the same way I have worked for corporate organisations, sports does give you that strength of mind and body building well it is different, it is aggression with a twist, beautiful aggression without confrontation.
- To Become BodyPROUD, I commit to do the Following:
- Have my own gym and keep training.Corporate mumbo jumbo, all garbage, I’m gonna find ways to open my own gym. If I can get financing to open a weights gym incorporating the body proud ethos it would great. The old slim gyms I used to frequent was the same Great: Jacuzzi, sun beds , sauna, free weights, running machines all the essentials for a great place to be and lots of great music. A gym with a twist , with meeting and consultancy rooms. Pipe dream, nope, I’m gonna have ago.
- My Hero / Role Model / Trainer / Sponsor / Coach / Guru... and Why
- My Hero: Bobby Nash ex professional soccer player, like a father figure. He could only do so much for me, after a while the behaviour of others towards me and his protection of me would be a danger to him. I could only take his advice and leave him alone. Fantastic guy.
