My Facts 'n Stats:
Name: Daniel J. Maag
Age: 45
Height: 6' 8"
Weight: 290
Hair: Brown and Short
Eyes: Green
Birth Date: Aug 13, 1963
Sign: LEO and RABBIT
My Background // My 'Story"
I am Single, 45, no kids; I am 6' 8" tall and weigh 290lbs. I am an Aircraft Avionics Technician, which basically means that I am a Airplane Electrician. My job is to troubleshoot and repair all the electronic and electrical equipment that is on-board and aircraft that enables it to fly, navigate and communicate. I am currently employed at L3/Crestview Aerospace.

I was born in Boulder Colorado , but after my father died when I was 3, I moved to Texas , where I spent the remainder of my childhood up to my teen years growing up in Bellmead Texas . I went to Collage at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York where I got a degree in Computer Science. I then joined the US Air Force and serve 8 years active duty and I got to spend 3 years in the UK , 3 years in Germany and the last 2 back here in the states. After I got out of the Air Force, I have lived and worked in many different states as an Avionic Tech. Contractor. I am now currently living and working in Crestview Florida .

I am one of four children; I have an older sister, and older brother and a younger sister. Unfortunately for me, both me parents are deceased. My father died when I was just three years old and my mom passed away 6 years ago on Easter weekend. I truly believe that as long as you keep their love and memories alive in your heart and soul, that even after your loved ones leave this world, they are still with us everyday of our lives. I lived a vary normal childhood, never too spoiled, in fact my mother had a firm belief that if you worked at your goals and dreams, than when you achieved them, your rewards would be greater than if you were handed everything on a silver platter.

I am still vary active in recreational sports, in fact I enjoy a variety of outdoor and indoor activities to include: Beach Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Ice Hockey, Golf, Snow and Water Skiing, Sailing, White Water Rafting, Mountain Biking, Rugby, Horseback Riding, Hiking, Camping and Swimming - as well as, Writing Poetry, Reading, Dancing, Cooking and just spending quality time with friends and family.

My Most Proud Moments // My Claim to 'FAME':

My Prime Body Proud Goals:
Nope
Timeframe &/or Plan to Reach My Body Proud Goals
6 months ago I was weighing in at 365 pounds and after realizing that this weight would kill me, I started to work out, eat right and get healthy. I am currently at 290 and my goal is to reach 260.
I Am Looking for Advice On:
I was in a 8 year relationship with a really wonderful woman. and we both loved each other dearly but unfortunately, I lost her in a car accident back in 2000. She and I were driving down a Texas Highway when we had a right front blowout and rolled our jeep grand Cherokee 8 times.

She was small girl and died instantly, I somehow survived with a broken neck, broken back, two blown out knees, a broken ankle, lots of abrasions and deep cuts in my head, arms and lower legs. and after spending 6 months in the hospital wearing a halo while my neck healed, I spent the next 1 1/2 years learning to walk again.

Well once you totally give your heart and soul to someone and love them completely, it is hard to lose them this way, so I crawled under a rock and hid from the world as I mourned my loss. It took me about 3 years to come to terms with it and through help of friends, GOD and family, I was able to pick myself up and start living again.

I would love to find love again someday, but I know the best and truest love grows slowly and naturally from a great and solid friendship first, so I have my fingers crossed and maybe I will be blessed someday to find that one woman again that I can give my heart to completely. She will be My Best Friend, My Lover, My Soulmate, My Spiritual Partner, My Everything.

But, my motivation for being here on this site is not about finding love, but about setting my goals in fitness and achieving them. If I make a few friends along the way, that would be great too!!!
