Profile Information

My Plug:: Besides being a professional photographer specializing in fitness/portraiture/lifestyle/advertising, I am now furthering my career as a Fitness Model/Coach/competitor!

My BodyPROUD Story: I'm a photographer by profession, completely 'obsessed' with fitness and staying in shape yet always making time for friends and family! They are my mentors, support & motivation! It is so important to have a balance in what ever we do.
I am in the process of turning my passion into reality and I have started training and coaching girls to be 'stage ready'.
I have had great success with all of them and I am currently planning a workshop for the girls as the industry had grown phenomenally over the past year.

My Facts 'n Stats:: Cindy Ellis, 29 yrs of age based in Johannesburg, South Africa

My bodyPROUD Goals:: FAME SA has given me he opportunities to be featured on Mnet Super Sport numerous times as well 'Woman in sport' on SABC 2. I've also been featured in Longevity Magazine and SA's Fitness Magazine. In 2009 I also did a live interactive show on a new Wii Fitness game featured on Dstv.

My AHA Life Defining Moments:: Achieving my goals and being 100% in tune with my body, seeing change and improving on that. I love being on stage and meeting people with the same goals, ambitions and drive!!
My newly found passion is to get girls stage ready and excited about it as it takes a lot of dedication and hard work especially with the industry becoming more & more competitive.

Post school I entered the 'Body for 'Life Competition and placed 2nd . . .I think that's when the seed was planted!
Kerry Anne Van Litsenborgh, an amazing Figure girl from SA (now in OZ) got me stated on the training and eating.
I've always been a bit of a fitness 'nut' starting many years ago as an SA's sprinter back in school but being too young back then to further it to a career...)
Post school I entered the 'Body for 'Life Competition and placed 2nd . . .I think that's when the seed was planted! Kerry Anne Van Litsenborgh, an amazing Figure girl from SA (now in OZ) got me stated on my first training and eating plan.
I was then exposed to Exergize in 2007 and won the Fitness Model search category, it was my first time on stage, and WOW I was completely blown away, I loved every second of it & felt something overwhelming growing inside of me. At first I was threatened by the 'stage' not realizing how much I actually love being on it, hence I understand why girl struggle taking the step from the gym onto the stage. I then placed 2nd at the FAME SA Nationals 2008.
In 2009 I placed 2nd in the Ms Body Classic category at the Body Beautiful show. This was the first time I had to do a routine and loved every second of it. BBSA qualified me to enter Miss Fitness SA and I placed 2nd in the Miss Figure category. This is a category up from the usual Fitness Model category that I enter and proved to me the possibilities of transforming my body. I recently entered Fame SA and won the Pro Fitness Model Category and I am know looking forward to competing at Fame Worlds in Las Vegas, November 2010. I am embracing this journey 100%

My bodyPROUD Intentions:: Compete in Physique Showcase Events, Sculpt My Physique, Be an Inspiration to Others, Magazines, Sponsorship, Gain Exposure

To Become BodyPROUD, I commit to do the Following:: To keep improving and not just maintaining, to help other realize the possibilities in maintaining and feeling a healthy 'YOU'! 365 days a year!
My next goal is to make it to the International stage and excite new girls to be stage ready!
