Profile Information
- My Plug:
- I am Vice President of the "Family Business"
I am the third generation to be an officer of our company LaGasse' Pool Construction.
I have nothing to offer as far as training and nutrition is concerned - thats where my wife comes in. That is her specialty
- My Facts 'n Stats:
- I am 5' 9" and I now weigh 165. Down from 185 about a year ago and from 178 about 4 weeks ago. My wife bought a new scale and we tried it out. She was in the next to last phase of her competition prep and I decided to join in and do her diet the best I could
- My AHA Life Defining Moments:
- God will always come first in my personal life. That being said, I will always do my best to keep my body healthy since a very big part of my life has been sports and it has even proved to be a ministry for me as a coach. I will return to it some day and being out there with my players and doing the drills and participating has proven to be a bridge for me to be able to reach out to them on a personal basis and share with them and make a difference in their lives
- My bodyPROUD Intentions:
- Increase My Strength, Become a Role Model to My Children & Family, Feel Better about Myself, Sculpt My Physique
- How I Boosted my Confidence and/or Added Joy and/or Health into my Life:
- I have several verses that I have taken from my spiritual life and put them into action in my workouts.
Here are a couple of my favorites...
1) I Corinthians 9:24 - Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So (I will) run, that ye (I) may obtain.
Obviously not just talking about a foot race. I have never competed and don't plan on it, but it has never stopped me from motivating myself that I WILL be the best. I will be the strongest, the fastest, the (you fill in the blank)
2) Ephesians 6:13 - Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Another version says - Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm.
I might need to explain that one a bit. Picture yourself in the middle of your workout. Your doing your squats or pull-ups or whatever and you just can't do anymore, you have "done all you can".Do another rep!!
I think of this verse or this saying, Having done all that you can to stand - STAND.
Everyone knows every race, every competition is won during your training. How bad do you want it? Bad enough to do that one or two extra reps after you think you just can't do anymore?
THAT is how I see it, that is what I think the second I feel like stopping.
I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture

It seems like I fall more than I climb at times but underlying it all I couldnt have stopped the dope dreams, the incessant thoughts about getting high, the porn addiction, the do whatever I gotta to get paid mentality, my mental prison would never have been cleared, I couldve died in prison,and would never have been blessed with a salvaged relationship with my dad, I would have never met my wife whos story is like mine (in fact we met at a prison church-- I think its cause God knew we needed each other for back to back support)I wouldve never had Traeveon (Hes my wifes son when hes being bad though--LOL:)> and I would not be able to tell my story to some one else to lift them out of there own hell. I've been slacking on my word bro but nothings by accident and your words were right on time for me Thanks and good luck Stay in touch.
