My BodyPROUD Story: Additonally I've been a personal trainer and fitness professional for more than a decade. I own a personal training facility in Red Deer and for 10 years have promoted physique and fitness events for the ABBA and CBBF. I am now delighted to begin working with the WNSO.

My Facts 'n Stats:: I began weight training at just 15 years of age, I began competing at 18yrs in 1994 and have competed in 15 events all the way to a Canadian National level. Retired from competition I continue to pursue and challenge myself physically, my most recent acheivement was to ascend the great Mount Kilimanjaro in support of www.thewaterschool.org.

My bodyPROUD Goals:: Hello Everyone! My name is Cabel McElderry, I`m new to the FAME family. FAME has been kind enough to extend to me the opportunity to come on board as an event promoter for the September 11, 2010 FAME Canadian Championships being held in Edmonton, AB.

Who am I really? And do I fit the BodyProud philosophy? Well you decide, but let’s go back a few years, at age 15 I was a legitimate 98lbs and with a strange name it was easy to understand inevitable self-esteem issues that arose. Thankfully, I was literally dragged to the gym by some friends (oddly I never stuck with anything for long but) somehow the gym became a true passion. From low self-esteem to BodyProud really is a representation of future experiences. I began competing in 1994, I competed 13 times prior to `retirement` in 2001, and have since been back for 3 more events including a surprise re-visit to the Canadian Nationals in 2008 (where I also had my best finish to date and won Best Poser provincially, nationally, and the people’s choice award for the year.)

Health, fitness and living BodyProud really has now been my life for nearly two decades. I approach my 14th year as a personal trainer assisting 1000s to change their lives, I teach other personal trainers about business and marketing and have been giving back the sport that has given me so much as an event promoter for a decade. In the last 10 years I`ve promoted 19 shows for our provincial association and the CBBF. So why join the FAME World Tour? FAME offers something missing that I’ve been striving for, within the BodyProud philosophy I see the creative vision, to move from promoting just a contest to something more an event, an opportunity and experience.

With that I hope you all will welcome me, with only 5 weeks to go I need your help. I need you to create a buzz, send me your ideas, post your welcome messages and comments and most importantly come be a part of the September 11 show in Edmonton, AB. In this short time frame, without your help, I can’t exercise my whole vision of what I wish to bring to FAME, but with your help I can guarantee it will be a truly amazing experience for anyone involved and from this humble beginning great things will come!
