My BodyPROUD Story
Seven year ago I was 232 lbs. I'm now 200 lbs and very fit and well. That inspired me to start filming profressional / natural bodybuilders. Since 2005 I've been going to the bodybuilding show as a photographer. I had a dream to start an online fitness magazine now FitnessX Magazine is also a paper magazine. My dream is here now. On New Year Eve 2009 the FitnessX.com Magazine will lauch (www.fitnessX.com). Realize your dream and go for it!! Now it is 2011 and FitnessX is digital and paper issue. We are now in our 10 issue of FitnessX Magazine.

Life Advice that Helped Me:
Transformations do not happen overnight, but apply these physical fitness components - balanced diet, muscle building. This will lead to a fit “healthy lifestyle”.
How I Boosted my Confidence and/or Added Joy and/or Health into my Life:
Most personal trainers agree on these components of physical fitness. Balanced diet, muscle building. Which causes fat burning, flexibility, wellness. The truth is there is no magic pill or “easy-button” and just like a mountain climber climbs to the summit it takes time, hard work, and dedication.
•Balanced diet - Proteins, Carbohydrates, and fats are the fuel you need to achieve a healthy diet. Bodybuilders call this purely as "food." Lean meats like fish, turkey, chicken and pork are excellent sources of lean protein that the body needs to maintain and repair muscles. Carbohydrates should be consumed from whole grains, fruits, beans, potatoes, and low fat dairy products. Green leafy vegetables are excellent sources of fiber and vitamins, and should be included as many meals as possible. Fats are also important, but should be eaten in moderation. Important fats consumed from natural sources such as almonds, flax seeds, olive oil, peanut butter and cheese. The healthier the food, the body will respond better to losing weight.
•Muscle building - Weight lifting. (Strength training) and cardio exercise are your weapons to fight the battle of the bulge. The muscle is essential because it increases bone density and causes fat to be burned at a faster rate. The amount of muscle on the body increases. The amount of fat decreases. Cardio exercise increases blood flow to our muscles, strengthens the heart and lungs and teaches the heart to work more efficiently. The ACSM recommends 3-5 days of cardio for about 30-60 minutes.
