My Body Proud Beliefs:

What I love about competing is the feeling you get of accomplishment being on stage and sharing with others what you have worked so hard for. Seeing your family and friends excited and screaming for you. Seeing other competitors and sharing experiences throughout the process keeps me motivated because knowing there are others going thru the same thing as you....and wanting to become better each time. You learn from your mistakes and what you need to work on for the next show. I did my first novice show and won 1st place. I also got 1st place in the overall division so I move on to Open Class next.

Timeframe &/or Plan to Reach My Body Proud Goals

I want to meet people that are in the Bodybuilding division and share ideas and goals.

I Am Looking for Advice On:

I have always been active and stayed in shape but never took my workouts to the next level until I met my boyfriend 3 years ago but about a year ago I was involved in a tragic accident that left me with a shattered ankle, 2 broken ribs, collar bone and a broken jaw. After 6 months of being home I started working out just upper body, I would go to the gym on crutches, yes I was determined that I would compete by the end of '08 and I did. I still have the metal platelets with screws in my left ankle but that didn't stop me. Now I'm squatting 285lbs and benching 185lbs...anything is possible if you put your mind to it!
