Hello FAME Athletes!!

The time has come! It's the big lead up into the FAME World Championships. The time is almost here for you to proudly showcase your Body Proud physique and talents in a competitive, yet friendly, atmosphere!

What you do with the provided exposure opportunity can definitely help spark careers, magazine coverage, professional shoots, paid sponsorships etc. Please read each section carefully to ensure your best competition experience and the opportunity to reap the most benefits from this amazing opportunity.

MEDIA EXPOSURE:

The best way to ensure you are covered in the media is to take action! The payoff is huge! So get your personal story out, increase your status as a role model and get the media recognition you deserve!

1. Personal Media Coverage

Below is an outline that you can use to further promote yourself and get the media to cover your journey and performance at the FAME World Championships. If you're interested, you can either contact us for media outlets in your area, or send your submission to FAME's Director of Marketing for submission on your behalf.

2. Media Week Promo Models
* FAME Photographers Urban Stylz and Tim Rollans are participating in a Body Proud shootout and parade which you are all invited to attend. Please wear your posing suits, bikinis or body proud type attire. Expect to stop traffic, garner tons of attention, get some great exposure and have a blast.

* All athletes are welcome to participate. Click here for details on when and where to meet. Whether it be in front of radio or TV stations, at McGill University, or on busy street corners, one thing is sure, it's going to be a FAME World Championships kick-off that you will always remember!

3. Invite Media to Attend the Event

* Accredited Media are all welcome to attend the event for free, so please take advantage of this great opportunity and invite those who can help further your exposure!

4. Aponia Entertainment Featuring YOU

* The Aponia Entertainment video crew is filming many aspects of the event. When you see them at the show, be sure to step up and ask for an interview to share your personal body proud or competition prep story. These videos will be turned into great exposure clips and possible TV shows... So take advantage

5. Onsite Auditions

* We are creating a series of videos to highlight the different competition categories, personal success stories and the FAME World Tour. There will be a 3 person camera crew who is shooting all weekend long. If you wish to appear in one of these videos, please approach the media wall, grab a cameraman and go for it. The script will be similar to the one provided in #1. Be sure to showcase your Body Proud physique and incorporate the Body Proud handshake.

6. Red Carpet Treatment

* You will notice outside the venue there is a Red Carpet area perfect for photo shoots. Be sure to head out there during your down time where media and official FAME photographer Jean-Marc Moreau will be your personal paparazzi!

ATHLETE REGISTRATION

Already Registered:

You are required to arrive at the venue 90 minutes prior to your scheduled stage time, however you are welcome to join us for the Meet 'n Greet on Thursday, the Athlete focused Workshops, as well as Media Week activities. Click here for specific stage times. Please arrive at the venue - Theatre Outrement - 1248 Bernard Ave W.

****Even if you are all set to go, you should consider adding another category or division. Doing so in advance actually saves you money if done online. The trophies are beautiful swords, different for most categories. So take advantage of that and the ability to be seen by even more media, sponsors, scouts, fans, photographers. Plus since it is a full weekend of events, there's even a chance you'll be able to extend your "FAME Worlds' experience by competing on multiple days. So if you're after the gold, the opportunity and/or the exposure, multiple categories should definitely be considered. Act now!

Not Yet Registered:

For those who would like to change categories, add divisions, or ask WNSO Judges their opinion on which category your physique best suits (it's FREE), please come out to the Thursday Registration. Thursday Registration takes place at the Host Hotel - Holiday Inn Midtown (420 Sherbrook Ouest 1800 387 3042) - from 4PM to 9PM.

Important Notes
* Entry fees go up the week of the show and then again at Registration, so if you know you'll be competing, you should consider entering online.

* All Athletes will receive their Competitor Gift Bag and official FAME World Championships Athlete ID Button when they first register and drop off their music (if applicable)

SOCIAL EVENTS

Meet 'N Greet
As many of you have not yet met us or each other, we invite you to attend the FAME World Championships Meet "N Greet. It's a great way to get to know your fellow athletes, judges, staff and Body Proud Community members prior to the big day. So come on out and meet the rest of your FAME Family!

Taking place at the Host Hotel from 7:30PM to 9:30PM.

Pro Showdown
The FAME Pro World Championships takes place on Saturday evening. This is a great opportunity for you to watch your favorite role models and magazine cover models in action. Take advantage of the fact that FAME Pros from around the world are uniting in one venue to put on a performance like none other. For those interested in watching the nitty gritty of their performances, be sure to join us for the Judging portion where you'll definitely learn a lot!

FAME Party

Let loose on Saturday night, after the FAME Pros hit the stage, in the beautiful city of Montreal. All FAME Athletes, judges, staff, friends and fans are invited to join us at Club 1234. Many of these people will be your friends and supporters for a very long time, so take advantage of this fun social opportunity. See you there!

The Pro Show takes place on both Friday Night (Muscle Model and Swimsuit Model) and Saturday (Fitness Model, Bodybuilding, Figure-Posing & Routines, Fitness) This is a great opportunity for you to watch your favorite role models & magazine cover models in action. Take advantage of the fact that FAME Pros from all over the world are converging in one venue at the FAME World Championships PRO Show to put on a performance like none other. For those interested in learning from them be sure to also attend the Judging portion during the day on both Friday and Saturday. You'll definitely be wowed!

To be eligible, you must bring your ID! (Competitor numbers will not suffice)
The Masters Show takes place on Sunday. These athletes are TRUE Inspirational role models. Come on out and support them.

REMINDERS

Often we see athletes who we know have amazing potential but are just not presenting themselves in the proper format to win top points. So please review the judging requirements for all competition categories and remember the following:

* Posture & Composure - important in ALL categories.

* Model Categories - do not pose. If you wish to pose, please also enter into the Bodybuilding &/or Figure Categories

* Smile - You control your thoughts, so when you're not enjoying your thoughts, just choose to think about something else. Otherwise, judges can sense your over thinking. So relax, choose your thoughts wisely and enjoy this glorious event fully!

* Mistakes - just keep going. Mistakes may happen but how you handle them is what can affect the judging.

* Always be 'on" - even when you are in the back lineup, the judges can glance at you at any time.

* Be Body Proud - be proud of your accomplishments, think only positive thoughts. Remember you are there for you. Sure, it's a competition, but more importantly it's the opportunity for you to shine!

The FAME Stage offers you a forum to showcase your accomplishments and/or fulfill your personal goals. Every single one of you, regardless of your placing, should be proud of the efforts you have put forth.

Remember there are scouts, photographers, opportunities and exposure benefits that can help every single one of you. How you handle yourself both at the show and following the event can land you magazine features, sponsorship contracts and/or other great opportunities. Always be proactive and know that no matter how you feel about your own performance, there may be someone out there who takes notice right away. So always 'shine'! You deserve it! Be the role model others see in you!

BACKSTAGE

Trainers are allowed backstage, however we have found that athletes actually enjoy their experience most when they interact with each other. So although each athlete is allowed one trainer, makeup artist or friend, please encourage them to go out and watch the show and cheer on you and your new friends.

Backstage access is restricted to athletes, trainers, makeup artists, family and friends who have a wristband (the price of a ticket).

FAME Pros and Staff will be on hand at all times to answer any questions or assist with anything you need. Get to know Kevin Friesen , Michael Elias and Meghan Cooke who will be backstage the entire weekend!

DRUG TESTING

The first round of competition is the Physique Screening Panel. Several athletes will also be selected for urine testing through out the weekend, starting from athlete registration. Many such tests will be random. If you are selected, it is nothing personal, just protocol. In order to be able to compete you must comply to all testing. See more details here.

Please read thoroughly the Drug Testing procedures and the Legal Contract which states that you are natural. (Attached). Please then sign it and bring it with you to the Athlete Registration to hand in.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

Time

It is your responsibility to ensure you are at the Athlete Check in 90 minutes before your scheduled time. From that point on you should stay backstage until you are no longer performing.
Should you be called to the stage and not be around, your opportunity to be judged may be forfeited. So please ensure you are present and ready to go well in advance of your division.

Finals
ALL Athletes are involved in the Show Opening and Group Photoshoot. You may wear whatever outfit you wish. If you have FAME or Body Proud gear that would be great. For those who are competing immediately after the opening, please wear your first outfit.

Drug Testing Forms
Please Print Off and Complete the Attached Forms (2) below and bring them with you to the Athlete Registration

Ensure You are Properly Signed Up ALL ATHLETES MUST DO THIS ASAP (until Sunday June 7 @ midnight)

As you know 2 Grand Prize Vacation Packages are being awarded during the course of the Weekend.

1. 8 Day Trip to South Africa where you will help host the FAME South Africa Championships TV Show, participate in magazine photoshoots and experience a trip of a lifetime!
2. Weekend getaway to the Czech Republic where you will be the feature act at the FAME European Championships.

Each athlete who is 'in the running' will be asked to answer a question to demonstrate their speaking ability and overall representation of FAME and the Body Proud lifestyle. Your Body Proud profile, personal websites and other social networks should also be properly reflective. Please see a sample of the questions below.

The South Africa adventure will be awarded to a PRO athlete or an ADVANCED athlete who just turned Pro or any OUTSTANDING athlete, with all categories being treated equal. The winner will be selected at the end of the weekend together with the FAME South Africa representatives who are in attendance on behalf of FAME South Africa's Force Events.

The European Getaway will be awarded to a BODYBUILDING athlete (from any level) who WOWS the Judges with their routine, attitude and overall performance.

All who are in the running, will be asked to return to the show on Sunday where the final winner will be announced at the end of the show.
