On Friday, July 3,2009 I ran nealy 4 miles in the heat and humidity. I woke up at 9:30 a.m., splashed water on my face, put on my running attire, grabbed my water bottle, fanny pack, knife, house keys, and cell phone. I started my run at 10:00 a.m. and the heat and humidity were already high. It felt like late afternoon. I ran, being careful not to overexert myself. I drank water and splashed some water on my face when I needed to. At the halfway mark, I was still strong and kept running. With only a half mile remaining, I began to feel the effects of the heat. I picked up my pace and drank more water. I was glad when I finally finished my daily jog. I took a shower, drank some water, and took a nap. I woke up to watch The Price Is Right and Family Fued, then I checked my email. At noon, I pumped iron for one hour, took a shower, ate lunch, and went to work.
